Scripture of The Day

The integrity of the upright shall guide them.  (Proverbs 11:3)

The word integrity means; completeness, wholeness, unimpaired, soundness, and honesty. Our character, that is, who we are and what we stand for is so important in this hour.  As Christians, we say we love and serve God, but does our character match up?

Have you ever watched how an icicle is formed? Water drips and freezes one drop at a time until the icicle is a foot long or more. If the water is clean the icicle remains clear and sparkles brightly in the sun. If the water is muddy, the icicle looks cloudy, its beauty is spoiled.

Our character is like that.  It is formed like an icicle. Each thought or feeling adds to its influence.  Each decision we make contributes its part.  Everything we take into our minds, our souls, impressions, experiences, images, or words helps create our character.

At all times we must be aware of the “drops” we allow to drip into our lives.  Things we say and do, and habits we allow to start can eventually destroy us. However acts of love, truth, and goodness mold and fashion us into the image of God.
