He is the divine portrait, the true likeness of the invisible God, and the firstborn heir of all creation. (Colossians 1:15) The Passion Bible
As I study about Paul, it amazes me to see the love he had for those he was called to minister to. He even said in Colossians 2:2, “ I wish you could know how much I have struggled for you and for the church in Laodicea, and for the many other friends I’ve yet to meet. I am contending for you that your hearts will be wrapped in the comfort of heaven and woven together into love’s fabric. This will give you access to all the riches of God as you experience the revelation of God’s great mystery-Christ.” (The Passion Bible)
He goes on to say. “For our spiritual wealth is in him, the hidden treasure waiting to be discovered-heaven’s wisdom and endless riches of revelation knowledge.” Paul’s heart was that no one would be able to lead folks away into error. He so wanted the Colossians to continue their journey of faith, progressing further into their union with Christ.
Sounds like Jesus doesn’t it? None of us will ever know how much Jesus struggled for us. He loves us so much that he does not want anyone to lead us into error. He wants us to beware that no one distracts us or intimidates us to lead us away from Christ.
God has gone to great lengths to save us, lead us, guide us, protect us, and teach us His way of doing things. He ever intercedes for us and He sent His Spirit to live within us to empower us to do greater things than He did. Be encouraged today! If God be for you, who can be against you? This life in Jesus Christ is the most exciting thing you will ever do!
