Scripture of The Day

Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you
prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore double your former prosperity to you. (Zechariah 9:12)

I have always liked to preach on Hope. Hope means confident expectation.  Did you know that God has many promises for us in His Word and they are all yes and amen!  When you and I have a confident expectation that God is going to do something good, then we can really live by Faith.

Romans 4:12 says that Abraham hoped against hope, that he would become the father of many nations.  Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed…  He believed until the end that he might become the father of many nations.  Why?  Because God promised that He would make him a father of many nations.  When you are a prisoner. that means you’re locked up with something.  You can’t get away
from it.  Abraham could not get away from what God had promised, so he acted and expected it to come to pass. And it did!!

What are you believing for?  What promise has God given you?  I encourage you to have a confident expectation and believe that God will bring it to pass.  Be like Abraham and walk by faith and trust God to keep His Word.  He always does
