Scripture of The Day
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7
I get many calls from people who tell me that the devil is tormenting them and would I pray for the devil to take his hands off of them. Of course, I will pray and bind the enemy and command him to take his hands off of God’s property. However, the scripture tells us to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, and he will flee.
What does that mean? To resist the devil is to rebel against him! When you hear those lies, contradict him with the Word of God. That is how Jesus fought the devil in the desert. Every time the devil spoke a lie to Jesus, he said, “It is written. . . ” The Bible says, he will flee! The life of God is within you. Jesus Himself is living inside you. Everywhere you go, He goes. Every problem that rises up against you, every evil spirit that tries to influence your life, is coming up against God when it comes up against you.
Begin living your life in victory, knowing that the light of God is in you. Live knowing that Jesus, the Son of God, is in you. Then watch the devil run!!
