Scripture for the Day – November 5, 2019
Wilt Thou not revive us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee? (Psalm 85:6)
There is a fire coming!!! My wife and I have sensed it for several years now. There are things happening around the globe that point to a new awakening being on our doorstep.
We see revivals in several foreign countries and continents like Nigeria and South America where multitudes are coming to know Jesus. We see a rustling in the music world in this country like we have never seen before.
We started a Tuesday morning class in our church several weeks ago entitled “Conversations” (The Book of Acts). We are studying the importance of what happened in the Upper Room at Pentecost. However, we haven’t really started the Book of Acts yet because we are still talking about preparing for a revival. That is what Jesus was doing with His disciples before, and even after, His crucifixion. He was preparing them for the birth of the Church (His Bride). He is doing it again. He is preparing us for something great.
I can’t say this strong enough. It is time to get serious with God!!! It is time to lay down all our prejudices. It is time to forgive all that we hold unforgiveness for. It is time to get rid of all our bitterness. It is time to lay down all our addictions and sins at the feet of Jesus. It is time to lay it all down!!!
Revival is coming and it is coming in a way that we least expect it. God will use the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. Jesus told us in the parable of the landowner that the last will be first, and the first will be last. It would not surprise us at all if God doesn’t bring revival from a least likely source. It will probably not come from one of our big religious institutions or churches. It will probably come from an unsuspecting direction which will require all of us to check all our religious credentials at the door.
If you have any prejudices against certain groups of people like Jews, African Americans, politicians, etc., you need to lay all those down at the feet of Jesus. If you don’t, you will miss this revival, just like the religious people in the days of Jesus missed their Messiah.
The Holy Ghost is about to show up in a mighty way. If you have any misconceptions about the Holy Ghost, you need to repent now! If you don’t, you will miss this revival. If you are in any kind of ungodly relationship, you need to get out of it and repent now!
This is what we are telling you. Lay it ALL down!!! Lay it ALL down at the feet of Jesus and do it now!!! Time is getting short!!!
