Scripture for the Day – March 26, 2020
II Tim. 1:7: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Fear is a spirit and that spirit is of the devil and the devil is a spirit of death!
John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Luke 8:49-50 says, “While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. ‘Your daughter is dead,’ he said. ‘Don’t bother the teacher anymore.’ 50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.’”
The minute the death report came from the messenger, Jesus heard it. And Jesus answered him, “Do not fear” or maybe he was a little more adamant and said, “Stop the fear!!!” Fear is the opposite of faith!
Romans 14:23 says, “For whatever is not from faith is sin.”
Fear brings curses and faith brings blessings! Whatever is not from faith is fear and it is sin!
We can make the decision to not be afraid! If Jesus told us to not be afraid, it means we can make that decision! You say, “Yes, I know what the Bible says, but I still feel afraid!” Feeling has nothing to do with it! It is a decision! We do not go by what we fell but by the Word that is real. I want to challenge you to get your focus on God and His Word and not what the media or anyone else says! Take precautions, but don’t be afraid! You are loved by God, and He’s your Father and you’re His child! Perfect love casts out fear! I John 4:18
Be strong in God’s love and make the decision to not be afraid.
