When I first got saved I was only 12. It was a real experience in a little Baptist church in Decatur Ga. I knew in my heart God was real, I believed that Jesus died on a cross for my sins, and I did not want to go to hell!
As I grew up I did not live for the Lord. I am from a family of entertainers and musicians and I was caught up in the things of the world. But when I was 30 and expecting my second child God began to tug on my heart. When we moved from Miami to Collierville, TN I got hooked up with this little Assembly of God girl and my life took a radical turn. I met some folks that believed in the Power of God and I discovered great things about God’s Word, His love, and His grace.
At that time in our lives Ed was not born again and he drank a lot. My prayer everyday for two years was for God to save his soul and take away the drinking. Do you know what God did? He not only saved his soul and took away the drinking, but God made a preacher out of Ed…I didn’t even pray for that!!
I ask you today, has the Lord done anything so good for you that you just can’t keep quiet about it? Well, that is your testimony! Tell everyone who will listen what God has done for you! Your testimony is powerful! No one can take it away from you. It will release hope for others. It will encourage others and inspire others. The world needs to hear what God has done for you.
