A Nugget from New Life Network

Scripture for the Day – July 2, 2020
But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Cor. 12:9)
The nations of the earth are struggling. People around the world, and of course our families and friends here at home, are under incredible pressure, from the pandemic, from famine, from economic stress, from political strife, from social unrest, from earthquakes, floods, storms ….So, what do we do in light of these things?
We know that we may not have all the answers to the world’s many problems, but faith still speaks:
God is good, and He has the answers.
God is faithful, and He has a plan.
“He has given us everything we need for life and godliness… through his great and many promises.” (2 Peter 1:3-4)
His mercy is new every morning (Lam 3:23)
His grace is sufficient. (2 Cor 12:9)
In His presence is peace and joy. (Ps 16:11)
My approach to today’s struggle is very simple. So is my advice to those around me. God is good, and He loves you, Get Closer.
If you can’t see clearly, adjust your position, get closer.
If you can’t hear God, get closer!
If you need healing, get closer.
If you need an answer, get closer!
In His presence is fullness of joy, get closer!
Get in His presence. Press into the things of God and His Kingdom. Take a step deeper. Get closer!!!
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles
7:14)
Get closer! Let your faith speak!
