I’ve had it!!!! I am fed up with all the doom and gloom prophecies being preached daily by media talking heads and politicians. The rhetoric of fear and failure is being hurled at us from every side and I am tired of hearing the constant spew of bad news based solely on the intellect of man with no Godly foundation.
I choose to hear and stand on the Good News and promises of God’s Word. I choose to say no to fear and failure. I choose to prosper in times of prophesied financial failure. I choose to believe what God says about our situation rather than what an ungodly reporter or politician says about our situation. I choose to hearken to the voice of the Lord!!!!!!
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth the. (Deuteronomy 28:1-8)
I recently read an autobiography by a former heroin addict that was living on the streets of Atlanta, GA. His total possessions included one change of clothes that he carried around in an old pillowcase. This same man is now a multi-millionaire and CEO of several companies. What caused this miraculous change? He started reading a Bible and decided to listen to the voice of the Lord rather than to the voices of all the people around him that had told him all his life that he would not amount to anything. It only took one small scripture to change this man’s life and that was Philippians 4:13 which says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”.
There is a better way! You do not have to walk in fear. Yes, challenges will come. That’s just life. But you and I are to walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7). Jesus promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Be very careful of the voices that you listen to. The voice of the Lord will always lift up, encourage, edify and bring hope. His voice will always tell you that you can do all things through Christ. It will always agree with His Word (the Bible), which is settled in Heaven forever and ever (Psalm 119:89). Be encouraged today! God is watching over His word to make sure it is performed.
