May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ pour out his grace and peace upon you. (Philemon 1:3) The Passion Translation
By Cheryl Henderson
In the early morning hours today as I read the Word I noticed that many of the Epistles start out the same way, with a greeting from Paul that states, Grace and Peace be unto you.
Over the last three weeks I must say I have felt God’s grace and His peace. The Amplified Bible describes the word grace as spiritual blessing and favor. I have seen that spiritual blessing and experienced it through all of those who called, sent flowers, brought food, and donated money. I have been overwhelmed at the out pouring. The Amplified Bible uses this sentence to describe peace…and (heart) peace from God… I guess I never knew what that meant until my heart ached with such pain at Ed’s going home to be with the Lord. I know he is healed and happy and loving being in Heaven. After all that is our home. I know he would not come back if he could. However, I am a woman, a human, and very emotional by nature and I miss him big time! To read the words heart peace be upon you was exactly what I have experienced. My heart, though it hurts, is at a peace that passes all understanding.
I know that I am not the only one going through loss. I am hearing about people passing away every day from one thing or another. My Word to you to day is to allow God to speak to you, to comfort you, and walk with you through whatever you have to walk through. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me, stood by Ed and I, those who have sown into this ministry or in any way ministered to our family. I am truly grateful and thankful. I leave you with these words from II Timothy 1:2 from the Passion Bible
“I pray for a greater release of God’s grace, love, and total well-being to flow into your life from God our Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ!
