Scripture for the Day
February 12, 2021
“Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus-all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts!” (Ep 1:3)
I love the above scripture written in the Passion translation. It gives us such a picture of God’s love for us and who we are in Christ. Did you get the part that says, “Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm”?
As we have ministered all over and in many different venues, there is one thing that we see in most Christians…they do not really know who they are in Christ. Our identity “in Christ “impacts every aspect of our lives. The Passion Bible puts it like this, “we exist in a personal, energizing relationship of unity with the risen Christ! “ That is powerful to me! In Ephesians 2:6 the Word says that we are raised up with Christ and seated with Him in heavenly realms in Christ Jesus! Do you really understand how much God loves us to do this for us when we were yet sinners?
Verse 10, “We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” I guess what I am trying to get across is that you are not just some sinner saved by grace. You are loved, wanted, joined with Christ. You have authority from Heaven to speak God’s Word, use the name of Jesus, to access His power, to walk in His love, to minister to a dying world. Don’t just sit back thinking you are not important or that you could not do anything for the Kingdom .That is a lie from the enemy! He is always going to put you down and tell you that you are nothing. Don’t buy that lie. Read what God says about you and believe that!
Remember verse 10…you have a destiny. God already planned it. Reach out to others, share God’s Love. Listen to the Holy Spirit. He will guide you. Knowing my identity in Christ has so strengthened me in walking this new road without Ed by my side. No matter what your circumstance you are rich in Christ and you can do whatever He calls you to do. Just do it!
