Scripture for the Day

And the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?” (Exodus 4:2)

As I have begun my new normal, I must confess that is has seemed overwhelming. What Ed and I did together I am now trying to do alone. I have had many conversations with the Lord and I guess I have sounded a lot like Moses. Making many excuses why I can not do what He is calling me to do. Our scripture of the day kept coming to me over and over again. I felt as if God was saying to me, “Cheryl, what is that in your hand?”
New Life Network was born in 1990. It was the vision of Mr. Brig Hart. A business man who had a heart to share Jesus with as many people as he could, and he didn’t want to stop there. He wanted a ministry that could be a resource center to help people grow in their walk with God, minister to families, and help people find a good local church. He wanted folks to have
ultimate success. Brig’s definition of ultimate success is knowing God’s will for your life and doing it.
Ed and I met Brig through our Pastor at the time, Paul Zink. I must say, I have never met anyone like Brig. A man so sold out to Jesus. After seeing what happens in these business meetings and the voluntary church services Ed and I knew that this is what we were to do. And we have served as Directors of New Life Network since that time . (over 30 years)
Ed is Heaven now and he is leaning over the bannisters of Heaven rooting for me and you. New Life Network is what is in my hand. In verse 12 of chapter 4 of Exodus God tells Moses to go therefore and He will be with him. So that is what I am going to do. You can join me in many ways. Pray for me and this ministry. Now, I ask you, what is in your hand? Take what you have, start where you are, use what you have and do what you can. We are in this together. Let’s press in to the Lord and His kingdom. He is calling you and I. Answer the call.
