Scripture for the Day (September 11, 2015)
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Acts 10:38)
The Bible is very precious to me! It is a letter of love from our Heavenly Father. When it is taught with purity and anointing it will change your life! It will lift you up! It will set you free! On the flip side, when it is taught in a judgmental, condemning and divisive manner it can put you into bondage, if you receive that word into your Spirit.
Let’s look at a few scriptures that will help you recognize a true teaching:
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. (James 3:17)
Preachers and teachers that always concentrate on the doctrinal mistakes of others and ridicule other ministers and faiths are missing out on the power of the Gospel. There is too much good stuff in the Bible to preach that will bear good fruit to concentrate on petty doctrinal differences that will bear no fruit.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16)
The Bible is well able to accomplish what it is sent to do. His word will not return void. If the wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle and full of mercy when we receive it, then we should deliver it in that same manner.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:17)
Jesus was not sent into the world to condemn us. We therefore have no right to go around condemning the same people He died for. Our job is to preach Good News, not the Bad News. We are the only Jesus some people will ever see so let’s not waste that time with condemning words and theological arguments that have no power. AMEN!!!
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
