Scripture of The Day
And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. (Hebrews 10:19-20)
The The Bible tells us that, directly after the death of Jesus, the veil of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The meaning of the veil’s tearing is wrapped up in its old-covenant function to separate the Israelites from the direct presence of God.
The renting of the veil symbolized a new relationship with God. This new relationship is understood through Christ’s portrayal as the new High Priest offering the final and perfect sacrifice.
This is how much God loves us. He sent Jesus to earth as the perfect lamb, to be sacrificed so that you and I can now talk to God the Father anytime and any place. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
I want to encourage you to be bold! Come into the Holy of Holies and talk to the Lord. He is waiting for you. You are worthy to be in His presence. Jesus made a way for us to come back to the Father and receive all the promises of God. Be blessed this New Year as we move forward into all that God has for us.
