Scripture of The Day
October 1, 2021
I’m obviously not trying to flatter you or water down my message to be popular with men, but my supreme passion is to please God. For if all I attempt to do is please people, I would not be the true servant of the Messiah. (Galatians 1:10) The Passion Bible

What a crazy time we are living in. It seems that the lines of good and evil are getting more and more pronounced, and yet more and more people are being lead astray because they are trying to please man. It seems folks are being desensitized to just go along with the world and their ways of doing things.
When King Saul was sent into battle, the Lord gave him instructions to completely destroy the Amalekites. But Saul did not do as the Lord told him. He blamed his disobedience on the people who brought back the spoil and they also brought back Agag, King of the Amalekites. When Samuel confronted Saul about his disobedience, this is what Saul said, ” I have sinned for I have transgressed the commandments of the Lord, and thy words; because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.” (I Samuel 15:24) In verse 26 Samuel told Saul, “I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.” (I Samuel 15:26)
My point is that we pay attention to the voices we are listening to. Don’t be afraid of what people think of you or what they will say about you. As Christians, we must listen to the Holy Spirit and be obedient to God’s Word, regardless of what people think. It is more important to be a God pleaser than a man pleaser Don’t forget that God is with us and His Word shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
