Scripture Of The Day

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him.  Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 NLT)

I saw a demonstration of how we need to be constantly filled up. They took a tall glass of water and filled it to the top, and then began to walk around on the stage while having others bump into them, causing the water to spill out of the glass. The point was that as we go through day-to-day life on this planet, we get knocked around by the things of this world, and the next thing you know, our glass is empty. We are no good empty.

Like faith, hope is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Paul's benediction is that we “may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” When the Lord indwells us through the power and in the person of the Holy Spirit, he brings hope, in addition to peace, joy, faith, and love.

Jesus is the source of all hope because He shows us the path of life, in His presence is fullness of joy, and in His right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

As we walk through the seasons of life, let's allow the Holy Spirit to fill us every day with God’s presence. Read the Word more in this season, pray more in this season, and remember...Hope in Jesus never disappoints.

An Atlanta Ga native, Cheryl was married for 53 years to Ed Henderson. They have three sons and 8 grandchildren, and one great gran.

In January of 2021, Ed went home to be with the Lord after a brave fight with colon cancer.

Since 1985 Ed and Cheryl have been serving the Lord as evangelists in the Tennessee area and surrounding states.
