Fully Persuaded

Scripture Of The Day

And being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able to perform.     (Romans 4:21 )

By Cheryl Henderson,

Abraham’s faith was not rooted in perfect circumstances, strong emotions, or visible evidence. It was rooted in confidence in God’s character. Though his body was weak and the promise seemed impossible, he chose to believe that God was faithful and powerful enough to fulfill His word.

Being fully persuaded does not mean we never feel doubt or uncertainty. It means that even when questions arise, we anchor our hearts in what God has said. Abraham looked beyond his limitations and focused on God’s ability. He trusted that if God spoke it, God would accomplish it.

Many times, we face situations that feel delayed, difficult, or unlikely. We pray, wait, and sometimes wonder if God is still working. Romans 4:21 reminds us that faith grows when we shift our focus from “Can this happen?” to “God is able.”

When we become fully persuaded, fear loses its grip. Worry gives way to peace. Hope rises again. We learn to rest, knowing that God’s promises are not dependent on our strength, but on His faithfulness.

Today, choose to trust Him again. Stand firm on His Word. Let your heart declare: If God promised it, He will perform it.
