Scripture Of The Day

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Jeremiah 33:3)

By Cheryl Henderson,

We live in a world wired for instant contact—phones, messages, notifications—yet the most vital connection is sometimes the one we forget to use. Jeremiah 33:3 invites us to “call” the One who already knows our needs, fears, and hopes. This is an invitation to intentional prayer: not a last-resort dial, but a steady habit of reaching out to God.

When you call God, you don’t get voicemail or canned responses. You get presence, wisdom, and revelation suited to your moment. Sometimes the answer is comfort. Sometimes it’s guidance. Sometimes it’s the truth that reshapes your heart and direction. Even when answers aren’t immediate or what you expected, the act of calling draws you into trust and clarity.

Practical step: Make a simple ritual—morning, lunch, or pause-time—where you “call” God for five minutes. Speak honestly. Listen quietly. Jot down what you sense or remember later. Over time, you’ll recognize His voice more clearly.
