Speak To The Mountain

February 18, 2026

Scripture Of The Day

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:23-24)

By Cheryl Henderson,

If I were to ask you today, do you have any mountains in your life that need to get out of your way? I bet you would say, YES! The fact of the matter is, we all do. This world is a crazy place, and we do have an enemy. However, we have been given authority and the name that is above all names, along with God's Word, and we can fight from a place of victory. Remember how Jesus fought the devil. He fought him with, "It is written." You can do that too.

The words that you and I speak are very important. God created everything with the Word of His mouth. He made us in His image and placed life and death in the power of our tongues. The most powerful, and at the same time the most unruly weapon we have is our tongue. We can gain eternity with our tongue; we can cast out demons with our tongue; we can speak blessings and life with our tongue; or we can curse God and speak death and curses with our tongue.

What mountain are you facing today? Have you spoken to it? Our suggestion is to look at the examples given to us in the Bible. Jesus prayed and fasted before He was led into the wilderness. Jesus was the Word of God, so He was already full of God’s Word. David was a worshipper of God and a man after God’s own heart who knew and believed the promises of God. We are not talking about a quick-fix formula or the magic of speaking certain memorized words. We are talking about speaking the Word of God in faith. We are talking about speaking words that you have in your heart and believe. We are talking about the Promises of God that relate to your mountain. Those are the faith-filled words that move mountains

Check out this song and let it fill you with faith to speak to your mountain.
