Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.  Galatians 1:3

The above scripture has been one of those anchor scriptures that Ed and I have stood on for many years. Who doesn't want and need grace and peace? The important thing here is to know that grace and peace come from God the Father and Jesus Christ. Men cannot give grace and peace.

Peace is a product of grace. That is why whenever you leave the true message of God's grace and start trying to mix anything with it, the first thing you will begin to lose is peace. You cannot build your Christian life on human works. It only leads to frustration.

So here is the bottom line: you simply cannot please God by works. There is only one thing that pleases God. We find it spelled out for us in Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please him."

Nothing pleases God but faith in the​​​​​​ finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Anything we add to that finished work will cause us to lose our peace.

Let the peace of God lead you and guide you. I speak grace and peace to you this day.
