Scripture Of The Day
“Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” (Matt 28:5-6)
I am not sure if you’ve ever thought of this, but without the resurrection, Christianity would be another long-forgotten religion. What makes Jesus Christ unique is that He courageously went to the cross and died for you and me. He met death head-on. He conquered death, hell, and the grave.
He came back from the dead, met with His disciples, and promised that He would always be with them. It is the living Christ who reigns in our lives. I am dedicated to Him, His ways, and His Word. It is a personal thing now. I meet with Him in my quiet place to read His Word, pray, and hear Him speak to my spirit. I am so aware of His living presence.
I may not be able to completely explain that sweet relationship, or the Bible, but I know it is true. I do not have a 4 year degree in Theology, but I know down deep in my knower that Jesus is alive and that He loves me. I belong to Him. I will stand on this faith until either He comes here or I go there, whichever comes first. He reigns and lives in my heart. As you prepare for Resurrection Sunday, I pray that His resurrection will come alive in your heart. Jesus’ resurrection is real!
