Scripture Of The Day
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1: 4

What does it mean to be a partaker of the divine nature? It means that believers who, through faith in Jesus Christ, experience a profound spiritual transformation, enabling them to share in God's holiness and live a life pleasing to Him. It doesn't mean they become God; rather, they partake in His divine attributes and character through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Because of the Son of God's suffering, death, and resurrection, we have been made partakers of Christ. The Greek word “partakers” is “Metoches,” meaning a “participant,” a “sharer,” or a “partner.”
Here are just a few of the qualities of the divine nature;
Fearlessness, charity, Self-control, performance of sacrifice, truthfulness, freedom from anger, and, aversion to faultfinding to name a few. I am sure the fruit of the spirit is a part of the divine nature as well.
Because you belong to Jesus and He belongs to you, you share and are a partner of His Divine Nature and His character. That is so exciting to me! Our God is spirit, morally perfect, eternal, and powerful! We have been given all things that pertain to life and Godliness. Wow! Just think about the fact that you and I share in all the precious promises written in God’s Word, and that through the Holy Spirit, we are developing in His divine nature.
