Be Positive

Scripture Of The Day

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and deprived generation.  (Phil 2:14-15)

By Cheryl Henderson

The world we live in is a hot mess!  Wars, poverty, bitterness, disasters, corruption, and scandals exist.  If I dwell on this very long, I could get in a pit!  I am sure that God wants more for His people. However, we are given a choice.  Some have made bad choices, and it affects us.  Because of that, people have become unhappy, discontented, and unsafe.  Many tend to have a pessimistic attitude.  That is not the attitude of a believer.

If is OK to acknowledge that there is much wrong with the world, but the fact remains that as Christians we are called to be Ambassadors of Christ.  We are called to live in the world, but not of it.  We have the duty and the privilege to walk out our faith even in the most negative and difficult situations. Our attitudes should be the most positive, and we should have the Joy of the Lord all over us.  That Joy is our strength.

I encourage you today to open your life to the influence of the Holy Spirit.  He will strengthen you and empower you so that your life will be a witness to the power and glory of God’s love.  We cannot be anything but positive.  We have God’s Word and His promises, and the Holy Spirit to go with us.  If you have a positive attitude, you will uplift the spirit of others.  You will give hope to others.  This is what we are all called to do.  Speak Life and watch things around you change.
