True Love

Scripture Of The Day
Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” — Romans 12:9 (NLT)
By Cheryl Henderson,
True love is more than kind words or good intentions—it is sincere, genuine, and rooted in truth. Romans 12:9 reminds us that love is not something we put on like a mask. It flows from a heart transformed by Christ. When God’s love fills us, it shows in how we speak, forgive, serve, and remain faithful—even when it’s difficult.
Real love refuses to compromise with sin or selfishness. It “hates what is wrong” and “holds tightly to what is good.” This means we choose honesty over convenience, integrity over popularity, and compassion over comfort. True love does not ignore truth; it embraces it with grace.
Jesus modeled this kind of love perfectly. He loved sincerely, sacrificially, and without condition. Through Him, we learn that love is not just a feeling—it is a daily decision to reflect God’s heart to others.
When we love sincerely, our relationships become testimonies of God’s presence. Our families, churches, and communities are strengthened when love is real, pure, and anchored in Christ.
