What Jesus Would Do

Scripture Of The Day

So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal, as it were, through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

By Cheryl Henderson

Billy Sunday said, “ If you have no joy, there’s a leak in your Christianity.” As you and I go about the things we all have to do, there is a gift you can give to people that doesn’t cost you a dime. It can be done on the go. It can be done fast. What is it, you may ask? You can help people feel good about themselves.

The world we live in is cruel, and people can be mean. But as Christians, we are God’s ambassadors. We represent Him in all we do. How hard is it to smile at someone? A smile can brighten up a moment and help people feel at ease. You can also say something that will help people feel positive about themselves. You can compliment someone about what they are wearing, or how fabulous their hair looks. They may not remember the words you spoke, but they will remember that you made them feel good.

Jesus sees people differently than we do. Everyone is precious to God. It is His heart that all would come to know Him and be a part of His family. As His ambassador, do things that can make others feel valued and special. That is what Jesus would do.
