Scripture Of The Day

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” (Psalm 23:5)

Jesus has prepared a table for you and me in the presence of our enemies. Could you let that sink in for just a minute? When the pressures of life surround us, our almighty God invites us to sit and dine. The dinner party belongs to God alone and us.

Whenever we allow the devil to sit, he begins to devour the abundant life meant for you and me, and we start heading down the pathway toward sin and death. We live on a battlefield. We’re stamped with the image of God and targeted by the enemy. The enemy hates God and wants to destroy everything he can that bears God’s image. So if we are created in His (God’s) image, that means us.

Despite the enemy’s intent, don’t be fearful. Remember, “greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4) We have the victory in Christ. Because Jesus has already won the victory over sin.

So be encouraged today, the battle is won because of who walks with us and who sits at our table. Lock eyes with the one who paid the price and invited you to the table!!!! WE HAVE THE VICTORY!!!
