"In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge." Proverbs 14:26 (KJV)

Many people search for confidence in their abilities, finances, relationships, or accomplishments. While these things may provide temporary security, true confidence is found in the Lord. Proverbs 14:26 reminds us that those who fear the Lord—those who honor, trust, and reverence Him—have a strong and unshakable confidence.

When life's storms arise, God's presence becomes our refuge. We do not have to face uncertainty, fear, or challenges alone. The same God who watches over us today will faithfully guide and protect our families tomorrow. His promises are secure, and His love never fails.

No matter what circumstances you are facing, place your confidence in God. He is your shelter in times of trouble, your strength in moments of weakness, and your refuge when the world feels unstable. Those who trust in Him can stand firm, knowing that He is always faithful.

Pray this prayer today.

Father, thank You for being my refuge and source of confidence. Help me to trust You completely and walk in reverence before You. When fear tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You are my safe place and my strength. In Jesus' name, Amen.

In January of 2021, Ed went home to be with the Lord after a brave fight with colon cancer.
