For all the promises of God are “yes” in Christ. And so through Him, our “Amen” is spoken to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

I have learned that sometimes saying “yes” to God means stepping into something you never expected.

After my husband, Ed, stepped into Heaven, I found myself facing many things in the ministry that he had always handled. There were times I wondered, How am I going to do this? I had doubts, questions, and plenty of things I didn’t know how to do.

But God reminded me that He had not called me to do it alone. He simply asked me to trust Him and say yes.

During that season, God spoke three things to my heart: “Stay in My Word, spend time with the ones you love, and finish what you started.” Those words have continued to guide me.

I have discovered that when we say yes to God, He gives us the grace to do what we could never do in our own strength. We may not know all the details, but we can trust the One who does.

So today, whatever God is asking you to do, just say yes. Take the next step, trust His promises, and let your “Amen” be your response: “Yes, Lord!”
