"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'" Isaiah 52:7 (NIV)

Our verse today celebrates the messenger of God — not for personal glory but for the life-changing message they carry. The "good news" begins with God’s reign: He is sovereign, He acts for His people, and He brings peace and salvation. Beautiful feet speak of urgency and persistence; the messenger travels rough paths to reach those who need hope. The message itself restores identity (Zion), peace in place of fear, and salvation in place of despair.

• Be a messenger: Let your words and actions point others to God’s reign. Small acts of kindness, truthful words, and consistent faithfulness announce His lordship.

• Proclaim peace: In conflicts or anxious moments, offer Christ-centered peace — not mere calm but the assurance of God’s presence and justice.

• Carry good tidings to the discouraged: Seek out those who feel far from God and speak hope — invite, encourage, and pray with them.

An Atlanta Ga native, Cheryl was married for 53 years to Ed Henderson. They have three sons and 8 grandchildren, and one great gran.

In January of 2021, Ed went home to be with the Lord after a brave fight with colon cancer.

Since 1985 Ed and Cheryl have been serving the Lord as evangelists in the Tennessee area and surrounding states.
