Stay In Your Seat

Scripture Of The Day

“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:6

By Cheryl Henderson ( Excerpts from Pastor Trent Cory)

We are in a spiritual battle, and the devil wants our seat! He wants to move us out of our place of victory and get us focused on fear, insecurity, and the circumstances surrounding us. He knows that if he can get us to forget who we are in Christ, we may stop walking in the authority God has given us.

But Ephesians 2:6 reminds us that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Our position in Him is one of victory, not defeat. We don't fight for victory; we stand in the victory Jesus has already won!

When we stay in our seat, we are at rest, not in panic. We are confident, not insecure. We walk in authority, not intimidated by the enemy. And we remain humble, knowing our authority comes from Christ, not ourselves.

The enemy will use circumstances, fear, and lies to try to shake you. But you don't have to give up your position in Christ. Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11), stand firm in His Word, and refuse to be moved by the enemy's tactics.

Don't let the devil push you out of your seat! Recognize his tactics, stand firm in the truth of God's Word, and remember who you are in Christ. You have been raised up and seated with Him. Walk in His victory, rest in His finished work, and STAY IN YOUR SEAT!
