The Power Within You

Scripture Of The Day
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” — Galatians 5:22–23
I have heard many sermons and read this Scripture countless times. Yet I believe many Christians see the fruit of the Spirit as little more than a list of pleasant qualities that can improve their personalities. But the fruit of the Spirit is so much more! It is the character of God being formed in us and His life being expressed through us. There is supernatural power in every expression of His fruit.
Love is so powerful that it never fails. Patience enables us to stand firm when circumstances test us. Self-control empowers us to master our desires rather than be mastered by them. The fruit of the Spirit is not weakness; it is spiritual strength at work in our everyday lives.
When we yield to the Holy Spirit, His fruit can change how we respond to difficult people, carry us through the fiercest storms, and keep us standing when everything around us seems to be falling apart. We don't have to live at the mercy of our circumstances or our emotions. God has given us His Spirit to help us live differently!
We are living in challenging days, and we need more than our own strength to overcome. If you have received Christ, the Holy Spirit is at work in you. The question is, will you yield to Him?
Don't simply read the list of the fruit of the Spirit—put it into practice! Ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond with love instead of anger, patience instead of frustration, and faith instead of fear. Let His life flow through you today, and allow His power to be seen in the way you live.
