I heard a song recently that touched my soul: Josh Baldwin’s “You Were Made For More.” One line stood out: “I know who I am because I know who You are.” That single sentence says so much.

In ministry, I often see Christians who don’t fully grasp who they are in Christ. They don’t walk in the authority Jesus gave us. They’re hesitant to share their faith; many have never even led someone to Jesus. Yet the truth is—You were made for more.

I’ve found that people struggle to know who they are because they don’t yet know who He is. I wrestle with this myself. God calls me to step out in ways I don’t understand and that sometimes require a miracle. But that’s how He grows us—He stretches us. Isaiah 54:2 says, “Enlarge the place of your tent; stretch your tent curtains wide; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.”

That’s why knowing Him matters. He is your Deliverer, High Priest, Bread of Life, Healer, Prince of Peace, Redeemer, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the Light of the World, your Counselor, your Rock and Fortress—your Abba Father. I call Him Daddy God.

When you truly know who He is, you will know who you are. You can stand on His Word, walk from victory to victory, enjoy His peace, and move in His authority. Remember: you were made for more.
