If you missed Family Reunion 2009 in Orlando, FL you missed the best R3Global function ever. So many lives were changed! The Sunday morning service was literally a family reunion for us personally. Our youngest son, Chip Henderson, led the worship with his five-member praise team from Charlotte, NC.
That was the first time we’ve had an opportunity to minister with our son in several years and that was a true blessing for mom and dad. Our former Pastor, Paul Zink, spoke at the Sunday morning service and that was the first time we have had an opportunity to minister with him in several years. It was at Pastor Zink’s church (New Life Christian Fellowship) in Jacksonville, FL, where so many things were birthed for us. Pastor Zink introduced us to Brig & Lita Hart in 1988 and recommended us to them to help establish New Life Network. Rodney Howard Browne baptized our son Chip at Pastor Zink’s church in 1996 along with about 1500 other people in one night. Brig and I served as elders in Pastor Zink’s church and watched it grow from several hundred members to 7000 members. There was just so many family of God ties coming back together at this function for us personally. The end result of the Sunday morning service was that we had an altar full (hundreds) of people accepting the Lord and making recommitments.
After the Sunday morning service over 200 were baptized in the hotel pool and it was a glorious and exciting time. You haven’t lived until you’ve been to an R3Global baptism in a pool or on the beach. It is spectacular and I know that the Father, Son, Holy Ghost, and all the angels were rejoicing!!!
Cheryl and I spent many years ministering in churches and prisons and we never saw the harvest in those arenas like we see in this marketplace. As I read through the Bible it is apparent that God does not disappoint the multitudes. The five thousand were fed (Matthew 14:15-21) and the multitudes were healed (Matthew 8:16 & 12:15). There are many people in the valley of decision (Joel 3:14) and they just need somebody to love them enough to show them the right way and that way is a relationship with Jesus Christ. This is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the Word of God (John 1:14). I want you to know that what we all saw transpire in Orlando on Sunday morning was not due to any one person. It was a team effort by everyone in that function from the individual that first contacted that person about this business opportunity to everyone all the way up the line to Brig & Lita. The Bible tells us that one plants, one waters, but it is God that gives the increase (I Corinthians 3:6-7). What a spectacular picture in Orlando of what God can accomplish if we just do our part.
Cheryl and I want to thank each and every one of you for all your planting and watering. It is not in vain and it is not unnoticed. This is just the beginning of the harvest. Our job is to plant and water and to not get to big for our britches for it is truly God that causes the increase in every area. Without Him, we can all pack it in. Please continue to pray for all the leaders in R3Global and New Life Network that we keep the right hearts and stay humble while laboring in God’s field for it is truly his field we are working in.
