Scripture of The Day

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.       (Romans 8:37)

Someone asked me to tell them how I was doing.  Well, that is a loaded question.  Some things in my life are fabulous!  Some things in my life are hard.  Some things in my life still hurt.  Some things in my life are full of hope.  Some things in my life concern me.

You may think my answer does not sound like a woman of faith.  Not so.  The only way I can walk through all these things I just mentioned is that my feet are on a solid foundation.  You see, God’s Word is sure, it is life, it is truth, and it is power.  Our scripture of the day is one of my favorites.  It reminds me that no matter what comes, I am more than a conqueror.   We are not more than conquerors because of our own ability to escape the struggles and hardships, but because of what Jesus has done for us and is doing through us.

To be more than a conqueror means that before you ever get a problem, you already know that whatever problem comes your way, you can overcome it through Christ. You live with confidence that God loves you no matter what and He will never leave you nor forsake you.

In spite of all the trials, Paul said none of these things could separate us from the love of Christ. Then in Romans 8:37, he wrote a fascinating verse that highlights the transformation Christians are called to make: “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

I want to encourage you today to stand on that Word.  No matter what comes,  proclaim God’s Word over your life.  I prophesy to you today that you will conquer the things that have been trying to conquer you!
