What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8)
I live in a small town in South Georgia. To get things done around here it is all about who you know, not what you know. Have you ever heard of that expression?
The apostle Paul considered knowing Jesus the most important thing ever. ” I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.” (Philippians 3:8)
I have come to know that knowing Jesus surpasses everything in my life. I know Him by being saved, born again, being be made new! I often tell people life on this planet is hard. The only thing easy is getting saved. According to Romans 10:9, all you have to do is believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the grave, declare it with your mouth and you are saved! Now get to know Him, Read His Word, Pray, talk to Him. He is the Who you need to know. He can go beyond what the Doctor says, He can go beyond what your checkbook says, He can move mountains out of your life, and He can break every chain that binds you! Remember, it’s Who you know.
