Scripture of The Day 05/03/2023

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;  we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;  persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;   (2 Cor 4:7-9)

The word resilient means to spring back into shape or a position.  It also means recovering strength quickly.  It seems in this day that we live many or filled with anxiety, doubt and fear.  We are not called to walk in that state of mind. As a matter of face, doubt and faith cannot co-exist.  One scripture that has been an anchor to me is Romans 12:2,  Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.

Because of 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 we know that we can do all things in Christ and that the power to do so is in Him and all we have to do is trust in Him and walk in His Word.  Will we get knocked down, will bad things come our way?  Yes, because we live in a really messed up place.  But you have this treasure, (the good news) on the inside of you and you can be resilient!  You can come back, spring back into shape or position.  You can recover strength and do it quickly.  His power is in you! When we walk with Him and trust Him, we can rely on him for the strength we lack.

“But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”    ( 2 Chronicles15:7)

“As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.”  (2 Thessalonians 3:13)

Micha 7:8 …Though I fall, I will rise….  You are resilient!
