But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
I just returned from Charlotte, North Carolina. I was there to watch my grandson, Sammy, graduate from App State Cum Laude. Wow! I am so proud of him! As I watched the graduation service I was reminded of how God want us to graduate from one stage to another.
I have an old Webster’s dictionary from 1852 and I looked up graduate and this is what it says; A series of ascending steps or degrees, or a proceeding step by step: hence, progress from one degree or state to another. That brought 2 Corinthians 3:18 to mind. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit.
I love the fact the God is taking us from glory to glory. To go from glory to glory – to be ever-increasing in glory – is to continually be changed into what you were created to be. It is to be conformed to His likeness. It is increasing in the character and nature of God.
I am so grateful that He is still working on me and graduating me from one stage of glory to another! What an exciting journey to walk with the Lord! Happy Graduation!
