Scripture of The Day

When you doubt yourself, you can trust in the Lord for direction.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not ion your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

I just heard a statement that really impacted me.  I am not even sure I can explain it.  I heard someone say,” You have to DO your way out of doubt.” Wow!   I must say I have personally experienced that over the last two years. I not only doubted, but I didn’t even have a clue how to do what was before me to do!

I realize that we are told to not doubt but to walk in faith.  I get it! However, we all doubt.  Be honest, when you face your mountain and it looks impossible you say, “Oh God, how do we overcome this?”  It is important for you to know that you are equipped for the journey.  You have the Holy Spirit, the same one that raised Jesus from the dead on the inside of you.  You have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness.  Remember when Jesus told the disciples to feed 5000 people with just 5 loves and 2 fishes?  I bet you those guys doubted that they could  even begin they to do that.

When Ed went home to be with the Lord I faced one huge mountain….how to do all the things he did for this ministry.  I am still learning.  It has been a huge challenge.  I have even messed up a few things.  But now after I have done many of those things the doubt is gone.  I guess what I am trying to say is, you can do what is before you to do.  Even if you doubt you can….do it anyway!  My friend Joyce Meyer, says, “do it afraid!”  God adds His super to our natural.  Oh, by the way, He won’t do it the way you think!  He will do it better!
