Scripture of The Day

The Spirit pleads for us.  (Romans 8:27) NLT

If your faith’s on trail today, rejoice, you’ve got a great lawyer–Jesus!  And His Word to you is: “Don’t worry about how to answer the charges…I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply!”  (Luke 21:14-15)   Could it be that you’re asking God to move mountains.  He won’t move just yet, because He wants to give you grace to endure instead of a strategy for escape.  He wants to demonstrate His strength through your weakness.

Are you asking. “Lord, how much longer do I have to go through this?”  Remember, when God doesn’t deliver you immediately, He’ll be your thermostat in the
furnace.  If He hadn’t already been regulating the heat, you’d have burned up long ago, right? Each time you reached breaking point and thought you couldn’t take it another day, God put a hold on the enemy and said, “Cool it! Give him a little grace today.”

Paul said, “We don’t even know what we should pray for…But the Holy Spirit prays for us…And the Father… knows what the Spirit is saying…for the Spirit pleads for us.” (Romans 8:26-27)  You keep coming through because you’ve got an Advocate in heaven, pleading your case.  Your “Lawyer” was on the job during all those sleepless nights and depressing days.  You’re only here today because of Him.  And you can trust Him to keep on defending you!  When the trail’s over, you’re going to come out like gold!  That’s a promise! (See Job 23:10)
