Scripture of The Day

“I repeat it: Don’t let worry enter your life.  Live above the anxious cares about your personal needs.”  Luke 12:29  (The Passion Translation)

In this life we will all have times of plenty and times of need.  In times of lack, we must never let worry overtake our hearts and minds.  There is a reason Jesus tells us not to let worry enter our lives.  Once it’s there, it spreads like wild fire to capture our attention and distract us from His goodness.

It is never too late to give our worries and cares to the Lord. I find myself doing that often.  When the world and it’s cares tries to come in and stir up worry and anxiety I offer them up to the Lord and He takes the weight of them.  God wants us to be free in His love, and there is no reason that we can’t be.  Where worry creates chaos, His peace brings calm and clarity.   There is no need for worry because we do not have to figure out the details of provision on our own.  We walk in what we know and do what we can, and we leave the rest with God.  He will not fail to give us what we need.  He is faithful and true, and he can be trusted.
