Scripture of The Day 4/25/2022

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. ( Romans 12:1-2 ) The Message

When you mention the word Stewardship most people think of money. However, God calls us to stewardship in other areas of life. Have you ever thought about stewardship of your faith? The above scripture from Romans gives us good instruction on how to handle our day to day life and how not to be conformed to this world. Stewardship of our faith comes down to this, managing what God has given you according to God’s instructions. We actually have a responsibility to walk in, and grow in the knowledge of God. (2 Peter 3:17 & 18)

How about stewardship of our families? Raising our kids to know God and teaching them according to God’s Word. How about honoring our fathers and our mothers. Maybe you have spiritual fathers and mothers, step fathers and step mothers, or others who are not blood but are like our real parents. We have a responsibility to steward those relationships according the the Word.

Here it comes…Stewardship of our money. The Word tells us to tithe.. that is a 10th. Did you know that 10 in God’s number system is the number of testing? The tithe is a test of trust. Do you believe that God can do more with 10 percent than you can do with 90? Malachi 3:10 tells us that if we obey the Word about tithing that God will open the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing that there is not enough room to contain it. I’ll take that!

Consider Stewardship of your faith, family and finances. God can be trusted and His promises are true.
