Scripture of The Day 05/31/2024

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. .”  Romans 12:2

I have used Romans 12:2 for many areas of my life. And here I am again using it as an anchor for God to do a new work in me.  I have talked to others about a “do-over” but now I want to talk about a Reset!  There are some things in life we cannot do over.  However, we can always Reset.

The word Reset means to. . . set again, or set differently.  Isaiah 43:18 states, “Do not call to mind the former things, or consider things of the past.” Here God tells the Israelites that resetting is an opportunity for them to look for him to do brand-new things and not to get stuck in old paradigms and ways of doing
things.   Also In Isaiah 43:18-21, God gives an illustration of a divine reset. He tells the Israelites he will do something brand-new, something they have never seen before, by making a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters. God is promising the people of Israel, who had been in bondage, that a new life will come out of the most difficult time in the nation’s history.

Are you stuck?  Are you bored? Maybe it’s time for a reset!  Here are a couple of things to consider;

  1.  Access your current situation
  2.  Define your priorities
  3.  Create a plan
  4.  Declutter your home
  5.  Set some goals or reset your goals
  6.  Work up the courage to change
  7.  Have a growth mindset
