Scripture of The Day

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.   (1 Peter 1:3, KJV)

This year of 2024 is moving fast! I get so excited as we approach the time that we (as Christians) celebrate “Resurrection Sunday”. There is something special about springtime and Resurrection Sunday. I associate those two things with adjectives such as new and fresh. I looked up the word resurrection and it means, “a revival of inactivity.” That is what happens when spring comes, all the things that have been inactive and dormant spring forth with newness of life.

I heard a talk one time by a precious young woman who had just been made the President of a dying organization. In her speech, she said, “There are only two things you do with something dead. You either bury it or resurrect it….and I am here to resurrect this thing!!” As we all ponder the miracle of Christ’s resurrection please keep in mind that because of that resurrection God wants us to live in resurrection life every day! I believe that every word out of our mouths, every action and deed, and every thought should bring forth life. If there are dead things around you, then pray and find out which ones to bury and which ones to resurrect!! This is the time to press into God’s presence, Word, and wisdom. This is the time to use what God has placed inside you for His Glory!! This is the time to have a “Revival of Inactivity!”

We pray you will grow in the things God has placed in your heart and in your hand. We pray that you will come to know and understand the creativity and resurrection power that is within you. It is time for Resurrection!!

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. (Isaiah 60:1, KJV)
