A Solid Foundation

Scripture Of The Day

Paul, an apostle (special messenger) of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), by the divine will (the purpose and the choice of God) to the saints (the consecrated, set-apart ones) [a]at Ephesus who are also faithful and loyal and steadfast in Christ Jesus: (Ephesians 1:1 Amp)

We all know you cannot build your house on the sand. In order for a house to be built properly, it must be built on a solid foundation. As Christians, we cannot be built to withstand the storms of life unless we have a solid foundation. Ephesians 1 is all about the foundation of our walk with God.

Paul gives some important things to help guide us as we seek the will of God for our lives. Too often, we decide what we want to do and then ask God to bless it. That is not how our relationship with God works.

I have learned that being in God’s will always produces peace. Checking to see if we have peace in a situation is one of the primary ways we can discern whether or not what we are doing is God’s will. God’s will always produces not only peace but good fruit. It is not God’s intention for us to struggle through life, but we will unless we are in His will.

Pray and ask God to show you His will for your life. He will guide you and help you know what to do.
