Discouraged? Go To Church!

Scripture Of The Day
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is. Hebrews 10:25
By Cheryl Henderson (Excerpts From Jentezen Franklin)
Most of you know that I go to a fabulous church. I brag about it all the time. However, there is one thing I have noticed. Many people stay away from church when they get discouraged. Why do they do that? It's possible that they are embarrassed because they feel their faith is not working. Perhaps they are ashamed because they are still struggling with certain problems. Most get discouraged because it looks like everyone else is doing great but them.
Remember that the devil is a liar! Don’t let discouragement keep you away from your spiritual family. You need them! The body of Christ needs each other for love, support, and encouragement. The word, “forsaking” in our scripture of the day is translated from the Greek words which could be translated as, out, down, and behind. They describe someone who feels left out, spiritually and emotionally down, and far behind everyone else. The moment you feel like that, the devil whispers, “Just stay home from church today.”
Don’t let the enemy isolate you from other believers. Isolation breeds deception. If you do stay home, turn on Christian TV, praise music, or watch your service online. Stay plugged in to God’s Word. Church is the last place the devil wants you to go when you are feeling low. He knows once you go, you’ll be touched by the presence of God and things will change!
