Evidence Of His Goodness

Scripture Of The Day

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

— Hebrews 10:23

By Cheryl Henderson

So many people are walking through difficult times with everything going on in the world today. But I want you to pause for a moment and look back at where God has brought you from.

As I reflect on my own life, I can see miracle after miracle. Does that mean everything worked out exactly the way I wanted it to? Absolutely not. But through every season, I can still see the evidence of God in all I have walked through. Can’t you see the evidence of God in your life? I know you can.

What makes you think He has left you? What makes you think He no longer cares?

Put your detective hat on and start looking for the evidence. Think about the time you almost lost your marriage. Think about the time He raised you up from your sick bed. Think about the favor you experienced when you were the one chosen. I could go on and on.

And even if things did not turn out the way you hoped—if you did lose the marriage, if you had to walk through the sickness, or if you were not the one chosen—there is still evidence of God’s hand upon your life and His purpose for you.

There is no way we can live in this world and not go through difficult seasons. But maybe, just maybe, God protected you from things that were never part of His plan for your life. No matter what you face, our God is faithful. He is on your side, and He is fighting for you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Psalm 119:90 says, “Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You have established the earth, and it stands fast.”
