Your Potential Needs You

Scripture Of The Day

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.   (Ephesians 2:10) ESV

Potential generally refers to an unrealized ability—something that exists in possibility and is capable of being developed into reality. Did you know that greatness is already inside you? God has placed incredible potential within every one of us.

The Bible describes God as One who is “able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20), and reminds us that “nothing will be impossible” with Him (Luke 1:37). There is never a day when these truths are not active and available. God is always able to do far more than we could ever imagine. But potential is not passive—it must be recognized, nurtured, and developed.

Many of us tend to think too small, pray too small, believe too small, and therefore live too small. We often believe the lie that “God may be able to do that for someone else, but not for me.” That kind of thinking limits what God can do in us and through us and keeps us from stepping into the fullness of what He has designed for our lives.

God loves you and has great expectations for you. When you begin to develop and use what He has placed within you—whether it seems big or small—you are cultivating the potential He created in you. Remember, God’s opinion matters most. You cannot afford to allow past failures, the opinions of others, or even the lies of the enemy to make you feel devalued. Do not let anyone or anything convince you that your life does not matter or that you have no purpose. That is simply not true.

There is not one person alive today who has not been gifted by God. Only He fully knows the untapped power, dormant ability, and unused strength hidden inside you. Your potential was placed in you like a seed—full of life, purpose, and promise. But seeds must be planted, watered, and nurtured to grow.

You have great potential! Trust God, believe His Word, and dare to become all He created you to be.
