Scripture Of The Day

“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” — Psalm 119:89

By Cheryl Henderson

In a world where everything seems to shift—circumstances change, emotions fluctuate, and people can disappoint—there is one thing that remains absolutely unchanging: God’s Word. Psalm 119:89 reminds us that God’s Word is forever settled in heaven. It is fixed, established, and unmovable.

What God has spoken does not change based on how we feel or what we see. His promises are not temporary, and His truth does not bend under pressure. If God said He will never leave you, He won’t. If He promised peace, provision, healing, and strength, you can stand firmly on His Word.

When life feels uncertain, anchor yourself in what is already settled. You may not have all the answers, but you can trust the One who does. His Word has stood through every generation, and it will stand through whatever you are facing today.

Take comfort in knowing that while your situation may still be unfolding, God’s promises are already established. What He has spoken over your life is secure.
