Great Expectations

Scripture Of The Day

"I will tell you great and hidden things you have not known." (Jeremiah 33:3)

By Cheryl Henderson

When hard times come—and they will—we often lower our expectations and settle for less than God intends. But remember: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" (Genesis 18:14) The answer is no.

If you will let Him today, God will reveal things you could never figure out on your own. He promised to be with His servants and equip them: when Moses doubted, God said, "Go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say." (Exodus 4:12) What a gracious promise.

God is not strengthened by our might nor weakened by our weakness. He wants to do more through you than you’ve yet experienced. Ask Him—and then obey in faith whatever He tells you.
