Over more than thirty years of ministry, I’ve seen one thing consistently hold people back from pursuing all God has for them: they don’t fully know who they are in Christ. Many have yet to realize that when Jesus comes into a heart by the power of the Holy Spirit, He comes completely. He has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

The words of Scripture carry life and power far beyond any therapy. There have been moments when a verse literally leapt off the page into my heart and changed me. God speaks through His Word—Jesus Himself said His words are spirit and life (John 6:63).

As you read God’s Word, you begin to experience its mind-renewing, thirst-quenching, life-changing power—the very potential placed in you before the foundations of the world. “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Eph. 3:20 NIV).

An Atlanta Ga native, Cheryl was married for 53 years to Ed Henderson. They have three sons and 8 grandchildren, and one great gran.

In January of 2021, Ed went home to be with the Lord after a brave fight with colon cancer.

Since 1985 Ed and Cheryl have been serving the Lord as evangelists in the Tennessee area and surrounding states.
